SYN-AKE is a synthetic peptide that mimics the activity of the snake toxin venom of Waglerin I.Additionally, it is also known as a snake venom peptide or snake-venom-based tripeptide (Glu-Val-Trp) .

Specifically, it can interact with the body’s natural processes and selectively bind to muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. What Is SYN-AKE

SYN-AKE can act on acetylcholine receptors in muscle cells, effectively interfering with the binding of neurotransmitters and receptor.This local process is safer and more comfortable than botulinum toxin 1 and can significantly improve dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscle contraction.

Research Findings On SYN-AKE

1.In vitro studies

According to research,in vitro studies have shown that SYN-AKE’s IC50(half maximal inhibitory concentration) for human nAChRs(Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor) is 0.18 μM, which is notably 70% of the concentration of the natural Waglerin-1.Furthermore, in vitro, low concentrations of SYN-AKE were found to reduce the skin’s response to electrical muscle stimulation by 62%, which directly proves its ability to inhibit muscle contraction.

2.Clinical Study on Crow’s Feet

Researchers conducted a double-blind study by recruiting 33 women who with moderate to severe crow ‘s feet.Participants applied a skincare product containing 0.01% SYN-AKE.After one month, measurements using high-resolution optical profilometry showed a significant 32% reduction in wrinkle depth and a 27% decrease in wrinkle volume (P=0.007) compared to the placebo group

Additionally,researchers evaluated that 82% of the participants had visible improvements in their skin wrinkles, and there were no adverse reactions such as redness, peeling, or itching. This further proves the safety and effectiveness of SYN-AKE.
